For over thirty years, we have been recognized as the world leader in the development of Liquid Ionization Chambers (LIC) for applications where high-precision absorbed dose measurements are required. Our patent protected LIC-concept and chamber designs are tested at a variety of applications in diagnostic radiology, brachytherapy and radiotherapy radiation fields. Most of the results are published in the scientific
literature. (Reference list ) The various tests have shown that with respect to its low energy dependency and long term calibration stability the liquid ionization chamber behaves as excellently as an ordinary ionization chamber. There are however significant differences in their qualities. The ordinary ionization chamber needs a sensitive volume that is about 300 times larger than the LIC in order to produce sufficient signal. The ordinary ionization chamber perturbs the radiation field in water or tissue like materials, the LIC doesn’t!
